BIG NEWS! We are now recruiting not only for the Oz Roller Girls … but for a new junior league, girls ages 10 to 18! We’re expanding the family, literally!
We’ve set up an Open House/Recruitment Night at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, for those interested in skating in the existing league or the new junior league, as well as for potential referees, non-skating officials or other volunteer positions. Junior skaters are invited to bring their parent(s) and we’ll have information on our six-week training course for younger skaters.
At the Open House, you can meet members of the Oz Roller Girls, see roller derby demonstrations, hear about the fitness benefits of participating and ask questions about the sport or the league. The event, free and open to the public, will take place in the OzZone, the former Real Deals store, in Oswego’s Midtown Plaza.
Of course, you can see live roller derby in action on Saturday, Sept. 15, when we host Assault City Roller Derby’s Assault Squad in Oswego’s Crisafulli Rink. Doors open at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. start for the superhero-themed bout, Star Pass of Doom. Tickets for our season finale bout are available online!
One way or another, we’d love to see you. We’d also love to see you on a regular basis as a part of our league as well!

I just seen this page. I’m interested for my daughter and she’s ten. How much does it normally cost a parent to have a child attend for the 6 weeks? If you can provide any information for me that would be great. Thank you for your time

Hello! Cost for a six-week session is $100 — we had a first practice on Saturday but we’ll start two practices a week after next Saturday. That cost includes a league T-shirt. We’ve discussed letting juniors start even if they just missed the first practice. You can email any additional questions to ozrollergirls@gmail.com and/or post them on our PCRD Juniors Facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/PCRDJuniors. Thanks for the interest!
